Revlon PhotoReady BB Cream SPF 30

But the real question on everyone's mind  - Is this a glitter bomb the way the rest of the line is or not?
Brace yourselves kids, this may actually be formulated with a DISTINCT lack of GLITTER or SHIMMER.  I shit you not.  Good job Revlon for getting the memo!  Honestly, I think of all the lines offered by Revlon for foundation (Colorstay, Photoready, Age Defying), the Photoready line is the best one to roll out with a BB Cream and Revlon is the only brand that I'd take seriously enough to purchase a BB Cream (I'm not a huge fan of BBs - to me its a tinted moisturizer with a bit more silica blended into it to change the texture/ make it more of a skin perfector) from in Drugstoreland.  Mainly because Revlon seems to take itself seriously and delivers.  The packaging is sleek, the products effective in their gimmicks and they land creative people to launch lines.  Also, Emma Stone.  She's enough to get me to buy anything.  If Emma Stone endorsed a Pufferfish Poison Extreme Plump Lip Gloss where you'd get super plump lips with a side of death, I'd strongly consider purchasing it.

It's blob! It's blob! It's round, it's foundation for you! It's blob! It's blob! Everyone loves a blob! You're gonna love it blob!
Since there is a distinct lack of poisons of ANY kind in this, I feel more than comfortable purchasing it.  The RPRBBC, has three shades to cover a broad spectrum of skintones - Light, Light-Medium and Medium.  This is because this is incredibly sheer, it's sort of a moisturizer, sunscreen, optical blurrer, skin tone even-outer.  That being said, if you have skin that you invest time into perfecting, you aren't going to like this.  If you're high maintenance, this might be a bit strange for you because it's distinctly low maintenance.  If you're oily, you're not going to like this for obvious reasons - I have normal skin and I powdered it because I dislike looking super dewy.  All things to keep in mind.

Freshly de-blobbed.

About 1 minute later it sets to a semi-matte sheer finish.
What I like about this - it's easy.  When I don't have crazy hormonal breakouts I tend to have pretty clear, even, normal skin.  Even using The Body Shop Aloe Protective Serum all over the face, Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturizing Lotion on the drier parts, I didn't feel this was too moisturizing.  I did feel like it was too dewy, but that was fixed with powder.  I saw just enough of the product as it evened out my skin, and gave it a nice clarity.  The color match was decent, and I think it did a fair job of matching and blending into my skin while not completely fighting my overly yellow undertones.  Also, I feel that it lasted.  I used The Body Shop Tea Tree Pore Minimizer on the nose, nose wings, chin and forehead.  Then I set it with Tarte Amazonian Clay Finishing Powder, and didn't feel that it faded, gained shine or really moved throughout the day.  It's non-comedogenic you can sweat through it, and did I ever at the gym!

6.5 hours post application, still going strong.
As an added bonus it smells DIVINELY of sunscreen.  I lovvvvvveee the smell of sunscreen.  I am seriously considering trying to find a perfume that smells like sunscreen, because I just love it.  And this smells like lovely, lovely Sun Protection.  Another added bonus, it's completely glitter free!  Overall, I really like this foundation/ BB Crea.

I found it on Walgreens with a BOGO50%off offer, and with another $1 off coupon snagged it for $10.95.  So check around your drugstores for it lurking!

  1. Thanks for the great review and the bonus "smile"
So glad to know it's not sparkly/shimmery, not a good look for this 50 yr old

    1. Thanks for the comment and for visiting! Yes, this is distinctly non-shimmery. I have started using it everyday and I really enjoy it :D!

  2. Bobbi Brown Beach perfume smells delightfully of sunscreen. Give it a sniff next time you're near a counter! I love it in winter; it reminds me that good times are coming. :-)

    1. I will have to check it out :)! Thanks for the suggestion and for reading :D!

  3. The perfume you spoke of exists. It's called Suntan Lotion by Demeter. http://www.demeterfragrance.com/704195/products/Suntan-Lotion.html

Note that a lot of people are disappointed because it smells distinctly like sunscreen, not tanning lotion. But if that's what you're looking for, you'll love it.

    1. Excellent! This sounds right up my alley.... a sunscreen scented fragrance, sign me up!

  4. This sounds interesting, but sadly is not yet available here in Australia!!
