The Great Physician's Formula Challenge: Does the Lash Boosting Serum Work?

So, if you've been a reader of theThinkTank, you'll know that I've been hinting at something regarding my purchase of Physician's Formula Last Boosting 2 in 1 Eyeliner and Organic Mascara with Lash Boosting Serum.  And, that is this, I tested (until ran out of both products) if continuous use actually improved the appearance of your eyelashes.  I know.  So dastardly of me!

WHAT DID I BUY?

Both were in EXTRA Black.  Because really, no one like only lightly black makeup.
HOW LONG DID I TEST FOR?

I tested these for about a month.  The mascara was used as a basecoat, to prime, and my favorite mascara was layered on top.  The liner was used exclusively for a month.

WHAT DID MY LASHES LOOK LIKE PREVIOUSLY?

I am going to confess to a small oversight. I thought that I had before pictures of my bare lashes.... but I don't! I do have for comparison, a picture of my eye with makeup on before I started using these products.  Hopefully that will suffice.

SO WHAT ABOUT AFTER?

To be fair, and to keep the objectivity firmly in place, I will not be showing you my lashes with the Physicians Formula Products on.  I will be showing you my lashes with Lorac Front of the Line Pro Eyeliner and Clinique High Impact Lashes Mascara.  But first, an after sans product!

LOOK AT MY LASHES! DO THEY LOOK THICKER/LONGER/BETTER?
Can't tell? Heh.  Neither can I.  Onto the product laden eyeball!

Hmmm... what do you think?
I think they look longer, but the Clinique Mascara is not one for keeping the curl in.  I think they look marginally thicker, and the inner corner lashes definitely are more noticeable.

THOUGHTS?

I guess this works.  The lashes look a bit longer, a bit thicker, a bit more there.  But nothing overly shocking.  Like, it doesn't look like I have a pair of false eyelashes on.  And I don't see any insane growth.  So, I defer to my previous statement.  I guess this works....
What I truly think this does is support the lash growth cycle.  So when your lashes are actively growing, they get thicker, bigger and lusher looking.  So for a window of time, your lashes may look boosted, but once your eyelash(es) have stopped growing, you will see a decline in the volume as they begin to fall out.  Until your lashes begin to grow again.  So if the boosting properties are something you personally see, and see as an added benefit, I'd say keeping using these products.  They're great!

I've raved about the Physician's Formula 2-in-1 Liner before in a previous Faves & Fails Friday Edition, so it's not like I dislike the product at all.  In fact, the eyeliner is a fave of mine.  The mascara, I could take or leave.  The formula is ok and it has a HUGE spiky brush a la Covergirl LashBlast.  But, overall I wasn't impressed enough to wear it by it's lonesome.  But I'm a hardcore mascara loving girl.  The thicker, the bigger, the bolder, the longer. the blacker, the faker looking the better.  That's my mascara motto.

Physician's Formula is widely available, and usually are on offer at Rite Aid for a steal!
